Huge interest in Corrugated seminars in India
Prior to the appointment of Mr. Chiranjeevi
Sastry of Varun Enterprises as agent for Indian Market, Mr. Weine Widar, Sales Manager
of Asia and the Middle East, EMBA Machinery Sweden, extensively toured the Western and South Indian Markets.
During this visit, major corrugated plants were visited and two seminars were conducted on the topic of “Global Trends in Corrugated Packaging”. The first seminar
in Hyderabad was conducted in the Green Park Hotel, attended by Mr. M.L. Agarwal, President of the Asian Corrugated
Case Association and Director for the International Corrugated Case Association. Also the attendees included the President of A.P.C.M.A. Association and all members of the association.
 The second seminar was conducted in Mumbai in the WICMA office, organized by Mr. Dilip Sawant of Soham Technologies, attended by Mr. Deepak Khillawala, Vice President of WICMA, Mr. Pankaj Shah and all other members of the association.
The two-hour session in each seminar covered the current trends in corrugated packaging world wide with reference to TAPPI and FEFCO guidelines, presented by Mr. Chiranjeevi Sastry. Mr. Weine Widar highlighted EMBA Machinery’s role in the Global corrugated industry with a presentation
on EMBA 170 and EMBA 245 machinery in operation. The response was overwhelming and many questions were answered during the Question Hour in both seminars, evaluatingthe current market trends in the Indian Market, and what the future holds for automatic corrugated board plants and high-speed Quick Set™ converting lines in box making.
